In 1991, the vision of 'Children for Christ was given to a Scottish couple and a Romanian national, when they met in Arad, Romania, during a humanitarian aid trip.
Harry and Wilma Somerville and Viorica Jorza formed 'Copii Pentru Christos' soon after, and so began a work to be blessed by God 'more than they could have asked or imagined'
Harry and Wilma Somerville and Viorica Jorza along with Casi, Alexandra and Dani all live and work in Arad, SW Romania and are in the ministry full time.

In 1992 when by this time Wilma was now in Romania quite a lot, Harry was advised to form a support team to stand behind the work especially when he would join Wilma out in Romania . Harry registered Children for Christ and formed a group of Christians to co-ordinate and support the work of Copii pentru Cristos in 1994.

AID: Aid is collected and packed in Scotland by a number of volunteers.  This is then sent by lorry to Varfurile in Romania where they have a store on the camp premises.

This aid is then distributed to the children who attend camp during the 10 weeks of summer and also to the shops that they have in Sebis and Varfurile. Doina – the lady who comes from Sebis, comes and collects all the items that are needed to be sold in the shop. The revenue from the shops helps support the work, and is also a means by which the local people are able to purchase goods for themselves with some dignity. Some of the aid is also given away to wherever they think the need is.
